Jess & Wil met on June 9, 2006 in Long Beach Island, NJ at a mutual friend's beach house. The two spent time dancing and barbecuing with their friends for several months before she split to Seattle. During that time, they spoke almost daily and developed a solid friendship. When he came to visit her for a long weekend out west the following May they realized they had the mush.
Jess moved back in June and they dated for the summer before officially becoming a couple on the night of their first fancy dinner date. She set up a surprise bouquet of flowers and Wil's favorite candy (sour patch kids) in his room along with a shiny silver heart that said “I want to be your girlfriend!” on it. That was September 5, 2007.
They got engaged on June 6, 2009 on the Rockaway Peninsula. After taking a sunrise bike ride to the beach and getting settled on a blanket, Wil proposed with a handmade threaded canvas that read, “Dear Jessica will you please marry me”. Because it was also her birthday Jess opened the gift unsuspectingly and initially blurted out, “Did you make this?”. Almost immediately thereafter she tackled him, which he rightfully took for a yes.
On a cold, foggy day 4 months later (October 10) they got married atop the highest mountain in Arkansas with grandparents, parents and siblings present. They then had two fabulous parties in Arkansas and New York with all of their family and friends. It was all magnificently wholehearted and fun and they made their way together in Brooklyn.
On Saturday, March 31, 2011 at 2:32am, Wil and Jess welcomed Amaelia Frances and have been living in a fantastic whirlwind of parenthood since. When the babe was just six months old, the little family bought their first home in Fayetteville, Arkansas and moved out to the country. On Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:24pm, Eidolin Mae completed their family. Their next adventure plans involve RV living across the United States for a couple of years beginning in 2016 before moving overseas.
